Congressman Steve King Wants America To Get It's Liberty Back

embed this tweet
Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) spoke at CPAC:
"I want my liberty back. How did a nation born of freedom and liberty lose its freedom and liberty? How does a nation that has an extraordinary supply of American exceptionalism submit, inch by creeping inch, to the tolatarian state that's descending upon us?"

In this great video Congressman King suggests that the next president of the United States, on January 20, 2013 during swearing cerimonies on the steps of Congress, has a pen in his hand when he raises it to the square in front of Chief Justice John Roberts who is about to swear him in. Instead of being sworn in, first he whips out a new bill--that King says Congress could have ready for him--and signs the bill into law, tossing out Obama Care lock, stock, and barrel.

Listen to this very enlightening and entertaining talk. Don White

Washington, DC - Congressman Steve King released video of the speech he gave today before the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). King joined other national conservative leaders in addressing the attendees of the national, three day conference. King's speech focused on the growth of the government's reach into Americans' everyday lives.
"I want my liberty back!" said King. "How did a nation born of freedom and liberty lose its freedom and liberty? How does a nation that's blessed by an extraordinary supply of American Exceptionalism submit, inch by creeping inch, to the totalitarian state that's descending upon us?"

Obamas U Turn On Indefinite Detention Bill a Historic Tragedy For Rights Obama+Signs+Order+Full+Federal+Funding+Stem+Eb9AYALGiMOl
Human Rights Watch has labeled President Obama’s U-turn on his decision to veto the NDAA bill, which empowers the government to indefinitely detain Americans without trial, a “historic tragedy for rights,” but should we really be surprised given the fact that it was Obama’s White House which ensured language that would have protected U.S. citizens was removed from the bill in the first place?
With the House passing a revised version of the bill last night and the Senate set to follow, Obama could sign the legislation into law before the end of the week after the White House dropped its threat to veto the National Defense Authorization Act, which under Section 1031 empowers the government to arrest Americans and hold them in a detention camp with no legal recourse.
“By signing this defense spending bill, President Obama will go down in history as the president who enshrined indefinite detention without trial in US law,” said Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch. “In the past, Obama has lauded the importance of being on the right side of history, but today he is definitely on the wrong side.”
HRW describes Obama’s about-face as a “historic tragedy for rights”.
The ACLU strikes a similar tone, warning “it will damage both his legacy and American’s reputation for upholding the rule of law,” if Obama signs the bill.

What Happened To Our 500 Special Forces Troops In The Congo?

Piles of election ballots to
count in Congo elections.

This is a small part of the Washington Times story about the Congo elections. If you recall, it hasn't been six months since Barak Obama sent 500 Special Forces troops to the Congo to route out an allegedly "corrupt" leader of a so-called "Christian army" that was allegedly attacking, burning, and killing Muslims in Congo.

Whatever happened to those troops Obama sent and to that story? If you have fresh copy, please comment below. Don White

Congo president wins in kind of ‘coup d’etat’

the incumbent won the elections and now people are ready to stage a big protest in the streets. If you believe it is only in the Congo that things like this occur, you are wrong.

GOMA, Congo — Amid cries of fraud and threats of massive protests that could turn violent, Congolese President Joseph Kabila appears to have secured another five-year term.
With 46 percent of the vote and more than two-thirds of polling stations reporting, Mr. Kabila is easily the front-runner, trailed by opposition leader Etienne Tshisekedi, with 36 percent of the vote.
“What the current president is doing is a kind of coup d’etat,” Wemba Katina, regional head of Mr. Tshisekedi's partyUnion for Democracy and Social Progress, said in a campaign office in the eastern province of North Kivu. “Even children here know the ballot boxes were stuffed.”
Mr. Katina called the election fraudulent and said his party was not waiting for results, but for instructions from their leader. Supporters, he said, are prepared for large-scale demonstrations.
While he stopped short of calling for violence, he said party members are ready to fight if government forces attack them.
Despite the rising tension, ruling party officials say the elections were democratic and transparent.
“International observers witnessed fair elections,” said Cyrille Muhongya, who leads the ruling party’s local campaign in the North Kivu capital, Goma. “If violence breaks out, it will not be coming from outside.”
Election officials scrambled to publish results, originally scheduled before midnight Tuesday, the end of Mr. Kabila’s presidential mandate.
Critics said the results are unverifiable and disorganized. Matthieu Ruchogoza, the electoral commission head in Goma, denied those claims, saying the process would produce an accurate reflection of the will of the Congolese people.
“We are confident that what is being published is correct,” he said. “There should not be problems.”
On local radio, opposition officials urged the government to send truckloads of soldiers back to their barracks rather than leaving them on the streets to “frighten the population.”
Goma police said the added deployments were keeping them too busy to comment.
Human Rights Watch said at least 18 people were killed - mostly by government gunfire - and 100 were injured in the mayhem leading up to the Nov. 28 vote.
Schools and many businesses were closed Tuesday in the capital, Kinshasa, and text-messaging service has been cut nationwide since the weekend.
In recent days, thousands of people have fled Congo for its smaller neighbor, the Republic of Congo, more commonly known as Congo-Brazzaville. Observers say urban unrest could break out if Mr. Kabilawins, and any other victor could spark violence in the countryside.

Why Democrats Should Vote For A Republican For President

embed this tweet

1) Incredibly weak recovery: President Barack Obama’s tax/spend/regulation policy — “stimulus”; continuation of TARP; bank, insurance company and auto industry bailouts; “quantitative easing” (aka the printing of money); cash for clunkers; minimum wage hikes; new regulatory rules on businesses; tripling of the deficit; addition of $4 trillion to the debt — failed miserably to produce jobs and grow the economy at the historical rate expected after a deep recession.
2) ObamaCare: President Barack Obama promised it would “bend the cost curve” and that “if you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan.” The chief Medicare actuary said neither of those claims is true. Two-thirds of doctors believe that ObamaCare will lower the quality of health care.
3) Bogus Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission: Comprised of six Democrats and four Republicans, the commission issued a majority report (with the Republicans dissenting) that blamed Wall Street greed. “Reckless Endangerment,” a new book on the financial crisis co-authored by a New York Times columnist/business and financial editor, blames the central role played by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as government policy that pressured banks into relaxing lending standards so that the “underrepresented” could buy homes they could not afford.

Horror Novelist Compares JFK Death to What Might Happen to Obama

embed this tweet

Stephen King is known as the “King of Horror.” I’m not much of a fan. As of 2011, King has written and published 49 novels, including seven under the pen name Richard Bachman, five non-fiction books, and nine collections of short stories. Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile are two of my favorites. Most of his other works are disturbing. I’ve heard The Stand is good, but I just couldn’t plow through it.
King’s latest book is 11/22/63, a time travel novel. Here’s a short synopsis from the editors at USA Today:
Jake Epping of Lisbon Falls, Maine, is whisked back to Sept. 9, 1958, giving him five years to make his way to Dallas and prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Can Jake keep Lee Harvey Oswald from squeezing the trigger from the sixth-floor window of the Texas School Book Depository?
I wish actors and writers would keep their mouths shut about politics and religion. I was seriously considering reading 11/22/63 until I saw his interview with Chris Matthews.
According to King, as reported on News Busters, “conservative ‘hate’ of Barack Obama is similar to the anger that led to the assassination of John Kennedy. Appearing on Friday’s Hardball [with host Chris Matthews] to promote . . . his new novel, the author compared” the assassination of JFK with political rhetoric against President Obama: “Here is where hate will get you eventually. This is what happens. Finally, it’s the barrel of a gun.”
Chris Matthews was incredulous: “Yeah, but it was a communist sympathizer. It was Lee Harvey Oswald, a man of the most extraordinary Left by our standards who killed him. So, how do you put that together with the right-wing mood of Dallas?” I know it’s hard to believe Matthews would say this, but as they say, a broken clock is right twice a day. Here’s the exchange:
STEPHEN KING: And I started to think about it again in 2008, because there are a lot of parallels between John F. Kennedy and Barack Obama: The age. They’re both young politicians. They both spent a short time in the Senate. They both have beautiful wives. They both have beautiful kids. And also, there’s also been this sort of atmosphere of real hate and obstructionism that surrounded both men. So, I began to think history repeats itself and at that point I thought to myself, “You know I really would like to write this book.” And one of the things I that I’d kinda like to say is “Here is where hate will get you eventually. This is what happens. Finally, it’s the barrel of a gun.”
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Yeah, but it was a communist sympathizer. It was Lee Harvey Oswald, a man of the most extraordinary left by our standards who killed him. So, how do you put that together with the right-wing mood of Dallas?
Where was King when horrible things were being said about George Bush?

Democrats Are Lost, Don't Know Where They Are Or Where They're Going

Subject: Hot "AIR" Baloon

A
woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and
  spotted a man in
a boat below. She shouted to him,
"Excuse
me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago,
but I don't know where I am."

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied,
"You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above ground elevation of
2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north
latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.

She rolled her eyes and said,
"You must be a Republican."

"I am," replied the man.
"How did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me
is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information,
and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."

                      The man smiled and responded,
"You must be an Obama-Democrat."

"I am,"
replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"

"Well," said the man, "you don't
know where you are -- or where you are going. You've risen to where you are,
due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to
keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same
position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it's my fault."

Romney Getting More Donations Than Obama

Big Donors Turn Against Obama

October 1, 2011
new york stock exchange
The race is on to tap one of the most vital sources of campaign cash — Wall Street — and the early results are not looking good for President Obama.
The president’s campaign struggled this week to sell out a fundraising dinner Friday at Manhattan’s gilded Four Seasonsrestaurant despite its being hosted by America’s No. 1 capitalist, Warren Buffett, according to people close to the campaign who were not authorized to speak publicly. The dinner for 100 was also a relative bargain at $10,000 a plate; recent fundraisers in Hollywood and New York have gone for $35,800 a pop.
The episode highlights a worrying trend for the Obama campaign. Wall Street, a key contributor to Obama in 2008, seems to be switching allegiances.
Wall Street appears to be lining up behind Republican Mitt Romney, who became Massachusetts governor after founding private-equity firm Bain Capital. He held a sold-out breakfast fundraiser at the exclusive Essex House hotel Tuesday. That was preceded by a breakfast with one of the biggest names on Wall Street, JPMorgan Chase & Co. CEO Jamie Dimon.
Dimon, a Chicagoan who at one point was rumored to be in contention for Obama’s pick as Treasury secretary, has not made any donations this year. His private breakfast with Romney was viewed as a defection of sorts and a natural outgrowth of his recent criticism of the Obama administration’s push for regulation.

How DNA Proved It Was bin Laden's Body

President Barack Obama has decided not to release what to many people might be the best proof of Osama bin Laden’s death – the grisly photo said to show a bullet wound to his eye with much of his skull missing.

That leaves the DNA test – based on hard science completely familiar only to the best-trained specialists – as a guarantee to the public that the 9/11 mastermind is truly dead.

But how did the administration pull off a complex test on the scene that normally takes days if not weeks for forensic scientists to verify in normal investigations?

"Now, we can say with 99.9 percent confidence that this was bin Laden," John Brennan, assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism, said Monday.

So why not 100 percent?

The answer is complicated, and it involved a painstaking process years in the making that involved tracking down bin Laden’s relatives and getting tissue samples, ultimately from a cancer-ridden relative who died in the United States last year, according to reports.

First the science: the process of extracting and purifying the DNA can be done in as little as a half-hour with right equipment; then experts require a few hours to amplify, analyze and match it. In order to do that you need a piece of equipment called a genetic analyzer, a desk-size apparatus that weighs a couple hundred pounds. That likely explains why bin Laden's body had to be transported back to Afghanistan for identification, according to one specialist writing inPopular Mechanics magazine.

Dan Krane, a professor of genetics and a DNA expert at Wright State University in Ohio, told Popular Mechanics that rapid DNA tests can look at short tandem repeat sequences in the DNA. Tests that analyze these are indeed incredibly accurate, he says. The more closely related two people are, the more repeated patterns they will share.

But Krane and others — such as William Thompson, a criminology professor at the University of California, Irvine who is an expert in DNA forensics — say that the 99.9 percent confidence number, which the U.S. government reportedly arrived at by comparing the DNA to that of bin Laden's half-sister, is slightly misleading.

That’s because the results speak to the probability of a relationship between the two people, not the actual identity of the dead man.

"If the DNA test compared the profile of the man shot in Pakistan with bin Laden's family members," Thompson says, "the results could properly be presented only as a likelihood ratio, stating the relative likelihood of observing the particular markers found in the dead man if he were, say, the father or brother of a known bin Laden family member, than if he were a randomly chosen individual."

Kane notes that the more appropriate (though perhaps less dramatic) way to explain the results would be as such: It is about 1000 times more likely the dead man's DNA came from a sibling of bin Laden's sister than from a random person. "That phrasing is more consistent with how paternity and sibling tests are typically described," he tells PM.

But here’s where a complicated story gets even more confusing: bin Laden had no full siblings. It's been widely reported that the federal government collected DNA from bin Laden's half-sister when she died in a Massachusetts hospital, and that DNA from other bin Laden relatives may also have been accrued and used in the identification (though the government isn't providing all the details at this time).

It’s all part of a top-secret Pentagon operation that collects the DNA samples of suspected and known terrorists and their family members. A 2007 Defense Science Board report revealed Black Helix, an initiative—apparently dating back to early 2001, before the 9/11 attacks—that provides a "secure repository and interactive database, which will focus on archiving, retrieving, and interpreting biomolecular data for the identification and tracking of terrorist suspects."

"In the case of half-siblings, it is harder to state that there is a match because all one can do is state that it is likely the two people shared a common ancestor (you would not be able to say they are half-brother and -sister any more than you could say they are cousins)," Steven Laken, the CEO of DNA analysis firm Cephos, told Popular Mechanics in an email. "In the case of the bin Ladens, there may have been consanguineous marriages (marriages between related people), and this makes it trickier."

But do such databases make high-profile identifications a done deal? Steven Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists tells Popular Mechanics that it’s not foolproof. No matter how careful or thorough one is, genetic testing always presents the possibility of errors, ranging from contamination to simple lab mixups.

"I'm not suggesting that was the case with the bin Laden DNA," he adds. "But life is complicated."

Typical lab-based DNA matching tests like this can take up to 14 days. They need to be repeated several times to ensure the sample's not contaminated from any other DNA sources. But in 2010, a University of Arizona team presented research on a machine that can do the analysis in just two hours in a largely automated way.

It's possible that knowing they were engaged on a mission to capture bin Laden, U.S. forces arranged for access to a machine like this to be on quick alert - probably for flying blood, cheek cells, and other samples taken from the body to the lab for expedited analysis, Time magazine reports.

Dearborn Michigan Has Gone Sharia Muslim

By Don White
If Terry Jones or anyone else can't burn a Muslim scripture because city fathers are afraid of a riot, haven't we destroyed his right to assemble and freedom of speech? Courts have ruled that burning an American flag or a Bible is legal because it's an expression of freedom of speech, no matter how repulsive that may be to honest and good Americans.
Apparently, Muslims have taken over a U.S. city and are exercising their political muscle. Are we going to let them get away with it without negative comment, at least? No. They are still in the minority in America and are bound by the U.S. Constitution and local law. Deerborn, Michigan can set what the law is about burning a Koran, and if a group of people don't like it they can file a suit and let the courts decide if it is legal or not. That's the American way.
Might doesn't make right in this case or in any other. At the threat of a riot, city fathers caved. If I were mayor or a councilman of that city I would warn them about breaking the law, then would say go ahead and riot. Following the riot I would send the lot of them to jail for disturbing the peace and destruction of property. Then I would send them and the Muslim Brotherhood who directs their activities a big bill for the property damage. If they won't pay it, have the judge sentence each of them to ten years in prison and/or begin extradition proceedings on all of these irresponsible, misinformed Muslims who won't pay for damage they create. It's the American way.
I don't believe all Muslims bad. But those who riot should be subject to the law in America, not to some foreign country's idea of right and wrong.
The story below comes from American Vision and introduces a very serious problem for America if this is how it goes in every city where if Muslims don't like something and they threaten to riot and destroy property. If I were the mayor I would say, go ahead and riot, but the destruction, injuries loss of life, and the cost of added police protection for innocent citizens is on you. Then enforce your words as per the above. If they can't demonstrate in a peaceful manner get them out of here. They should be in jail long enough for them to remember where they are.
This is America, land of the free, not Iran where people can demonstrate against anything American and get away with it. Jones has a right to burn a Qur’an if he paid for it. It's a form of freedom of speech in America. We are not subject to Sharia law and should fight this kind of double standard intimidation at every opportunity. Elected officials of the City of Dearborn should be  taken to task and roundly criticized. Next election, these gutless wonders should be thrown out of office.  ________________________________________________
Dearborn, Michigan has become a Sharia enclave, much like those populating many European countries. The city of Dearborn, Michigan denied a permit Wednesday for Qur’an-burning Pastor Terry Jones’ planned protest outside the Islamic Center of America on Good Friday.
Islamic supremacists were handed a victory for their violent intimidation and threats. City spokeswoman Mary Laundroche said that Jones’ permit had been denied for “public safety reasons.” In other words, they’re afraid Muslims will riot. And so the rights of free Americans have to be curtailed.
Terry Jones burned a Qur’an. So what? What happened to the freedom of assembly, the freedom of speech, and the freedom of expression? Terry Jones is prohibited from rallying in Michigan for fear of Islamic violence. Is that how far down the Sharia rabbit hole we have gone? Why is it that any time American law comes into conflict with Islamic law, it is American law that has to give way?
